I am a versatile and creative composer with a voice of my own and an ability to devise unique concepts, write and orchestrate original melodies in a variety of styles using different samples or accompanying live instruments to achieve a dynamic and high-quality sound and music mix.

I enjoy creating and arranging music across multiple genres, including film and television, musical theatre, jazz, orchestral and choral and have a wide knowledge of music production (Sibelius, Logic Pro, Cubase).

Film and TV –I studied writing music for screen in London for 3 years, obtaining a high first in the module. My reference commented that my music “…sounds exactly like a film score should. It has drama, narrative, suspense, pauses, transitions and even a central theme, which you manage to bring back in a different key at one point. The score is full of surprising details, which give a dense texture to the music; there is nothing accidental or unforeseen here.” I have completed screen work with Logic, writing music to picture (short films, documentaries, trailers) across all genres including action, sci-fi, animation, cartoon, video game, working in tandem with the production coordinators and audio engineers across the project to ensure that the film-makers and directors bring their vision to life.

Musical Theatre – I have a passion for musical theatre and in 2019, I released my debut original musical “The Legend of Troy”. I created the concept of an original musical stage show, inspired by traditional musical theatre, re-imagining a classic story based on Ancient Greek mythology. Wrote the script and composed the lyrics and music for 16 original songs with full orchestral accompaniment to capture the dramatic and powerful score and featuring a varied palette of textures, colours and harmonies. (See The Legend of Troy page)

Bands and Orchestras – I have composed original pieces and created bespoke arrangements for a number of concert bands, orchestras, choirs and big bands.

I  completed a commission to write for the BBC Concert Band. I created the concept and composed an extensive original work for the 50-piece concert band titled “The Kingdom of Camelot”, inspired by the mythical tales of King Arthur and The Sword in the Stone.

“It’s really well constructed with solid ideas, memorable melody, and a few sprinkles of something totally different here and there. It really evokes what you’ve set out to achieve in the title. I’m extremely impressed and delighted with it.”

My YouTube Channel (see Hear My Music page) features examples of my composition projects. I have uploaded some of my original works, which tell stories of myths and legends through orchestral writing, as well as other original music I have written for jazz groups, big bands, choirs and more.

I always love taking on new projects, so if you would like to work with me, please feel free to get in touch (see Contact Me page).
