The Legend of Troy is my own original musical, re-imagining a classic story based on Ancient Greek mythology and for which I created the concept, music, lyrics and script.

The music is inspired by traditional musical theatre, and revisits the styles of composers such as Richard Rodgers, Claude-Michel Schonberg and Alan Menken. The show features live orchestral accompaniment, to capture the dramatic and powerful score, and to complement the size and scale of the show.

It is based upon the classic story of the ancient war between the City of Troy and the Greeks.
This dramatic portrayal depicts the tragic love story between Helen and Paris alongside the feats of iconic warriors such as Achilles and Prince Hector. The show leads the audience through a full range of competing emotions – joy, love, hate, despair, and finally, aspirational hope.

The show was had its premier performances in October-November 2019, by the Square Drama Circle in Dunstable. The show went on to win a Novation Award for ‘Best Original Musical’.
